Exploring the Mountains

The mountains were part of my climbing early on, for example when I climbed the North Ridge of Piz Badile at eleven. Competitive climbing became the main focus for much of the decade that followed. The desire for bigger adventures never left me. These days, mountaineering, technical rock climbing and ice climbing are some of the most thrilling ways I challenge myself.

Technical development

Alpine climbing asks for more than climbing difficulty. I continue to build experience across trad, ice and the technical skills needed for longer mountain routes.

Long trad multipitch

Squamish · Sep 2022

I climbed The Grand Wall in Squamish, a long trad multipitch on the Stawamus Chief. Placing protection, reading cracks and route finding made the decision-making part of the climbing itself.
