Where statistics, economics and programming meet: building models of economic behaviour, then testing whether they hold against real data.
2025 – 2027

A second full degree alongside the first — for the theory econometrics leans on: stochastic processes, statistical inference, the mathematics under the financial models.
Coursework
Time series analysis, econometrics, stochastic processes, probability and statistics, machine learning, linear algebra, mathematical economics, finance, and programming in Python, R and STATA. Some additional coursework in physics: classical mechanics, quantum physics, electrodynamics and thermodynamics.

Sports
2016 – 2023
Eight years as a professional athlete on the Dutch national team. Dutch National Champion in lead climbing (2021), five-time Dutch Youth Champion, best World Cup result 34th. At sixteen I moved to Austria alone to train with the Austrian and German national teams, finishing school remotely. Talks and events for Mammut and La Sportiva, and a climbing chalk brush I designed, produced and sold to gyms myself. I stepped back from the international circuit in 2023 and still compete nationally, finishing second at the 2026 Dutch Lead Championship.
Ongoing
Multi-day expeditions across the Alps, ice climbing, and multi-pitch routes on faces up to 550 metres. NKBV advanced alpine course: route planning and decisions made as conditions change under you.
